I visited Microsoft web it is not there. My version is Window 7 professional. The salesman either lied to you or didn't know what he's talking about. You can't do this unless you first upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. Now can you advise me how do I upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate? Can I do it in India or I have to do it online? Thanks again. But I my version is Windows 7 professional. Now I realize my mistake in believing the salesman. In reply to jsr's post on December 8, Besides of that, it isn't even clear whether you will be redirected to a Windows 8 instead of Windows 7 upgrade site when clicking on "Windows Anytime Upgrade" at Control Panel my system points to Windows 7 upgrade paths, but others report different experiences, maybe different by location.

On the other hand, buying a WAU key package from a retail shop in India means that you have to activate it there which could lead to problems if you ever should need to re-activate the OS elsewhere. The upgrade isn't very expensive, but the how-to depends from your circumstances. In reply to Sanmartin's post on December 9, I keep on shuttling between India and Russia. I am leaving for India in few days thought of tackling this issue there.
